What’s in a Domain?

Is your domain name right for branding? Is your domain something you want to share? Will your domain name be something you want a few months or years in the future? If you answered “no” to any of these questions, it might be time to change your domain name, or reconsider the one you want to create.

As we discussed above, your domain name is a powerful way to brand yourself or your business; it’s not a decision you should take lightly. Think of your domain name like a business name. This is something you want to hold onto, promote, and something that will represent you. Think wisely before you select your domain. Many users sign up with GDI and initially aren’t sure of what domain they should choose. If you have decided the domain name you already chose isn’t right for you, it’s not too late.

To Get Started:

To choose a new domain name contact our Support Team at 760-602-3000 or by email at support@website.ws. You can choose to cancel your current domain and purchase a new domain or simply add an additional domain name to your account. Many of our GDI users have multiple domain names for different reasons, whether they wish to have an additional business site, try out new techniques with one site and have a site dedicated to their GDI opportunity and one for personal use. Changing a domain name or adding an additional domain will not change your username.

How to Use Email.WS

mailboxPart of branding yourself with GDI is taking advantage of your GDI email. Your email is based off of your domain and includes up to 10 prefixes at your domain. This means you can create up to 10 email names @yourdomain.ws.

This email will help to promote your brand with each message sent. It will also help you to stand out!  Many people sort through their email deleting messages from people they don’t know @yahoo.com or @gmail.com. These domains don’t give the personal or business information one needs to decide if they should open an email, so it often gets deleted. Your personalized .WS email domain works to fix this. People can now see that you’re brad@bradsbusiness.ws as opposed to the impersonal brad123434@gmail.com. This brands you and can help save your message from the preemptive delete.

To Get Started:

Log in to your Members Area and navigate to Set Up Your Email on the left-hand side. Here you will see the option to create up to 10 email addresses at your domain. Simply choose a new prefix and confirm the first and last name for the owner of that email as well as a confirmation email. Next, select Create Mailbox. You will then receive a confirmation email with a link to your new .WS mailbox and a temporary password. Log in and change your password and you’re ready to start using your new email! You can access your email anytime at Email.ws.

Create Your Brand

There are thousands of people interested in and involved with GDI. This means there are a lot of people out there to work with, but you need to stand out. One powerful way to stand out is to create and market your own brand. This doesn’t mean you have to sink money into advertising, it means taking the steps to find your brand voice, share it, and encourage others to do so.

Here’s how to do it:

Find Your Voice

When you talk to prospective downline members or post on your WebSite are you authoritative or friendly? Warm or straight forward? Big picture or right now? These are all styles of presenting information that create your voice. Finding the voice that fits you is step one. Go through your past posts and emails and see how you communicate or ask a friend or family member what they think your communication style is. Is your style effective? Do people respond to it? If you answered yes, then go on to step two. If you answered no, it’s time to find a voice that engages people and shares information effectively.

Stay Consistent Across All Mediums

This is step two. Use this newly indentified brand voice through all communications including video, email, blog posts and the like. People will remember your voice and associate it with your brand. You’ll attract people who respond to your unique brand voice, helping to build your team with like minded people.

Empower Your Team

Name your brand to give it more power. Think of a name for your team or you as a sponsor. Consider creating a logo. Build a team you a strong team and use your logo and name. Team members will be happy to share it. People want to be part of something successful, so give them a name to put to your team and empower them to share it. Have team members join a branded Facebook group, share their success stories on social media, or add your team logo to the website. Empower others to get the most out of your team and your brand.
