Twitter Tips for Affiliate Marketing

Twitter is great to get to the point and get your message and your news out there. Many affiliates are very active on Twitter and it is exceptional for connecting with others in the world of network marketing.

What it’s good for

Twitter is great for updating your followers on new blog posts, important news and trends in network marketing and connecting with anyone and everyone quickly and simply.

How it’s unique

Twitter is very accessible. Twitter’s sign up process take about 5 minutes. You can start posting right away and can easily create multiple accounts as needed. You can tailor who you want to follow based on their interests and tweets and can get into conversations with anyone regardless of if you’re following each other or not.

Ways to use it

Use your Twitter account as a way to supplement other networking and marketing tactics, though a powerful medium, not everyone is on Twitter. You can use Twitter to build your network by searching by key words related to GDI, network and affiliate marketing and your team in general. Search hot topics in network marketing and GDI and add your comments on the subject them with a hash tag (#). Your comments will then come up in a feed, giving others access to your thoughts and the option to follow you.

Why You Need Video

GDI is a firm believer in the power of video for internet marketing. That’s why our most popular marketing tool is our 7 minute movie. We invite all of our affiliates to use this video on their own sites to encourage sign ups and build their network. But your use if video doesn’t have to stop at the 7 minute movie, as many kinds of videos are powerful marketing tools. We share our top reasons and ideas for videos below.

Show You’re Real

When it comes to building your network we encourage you to do so online and offline. While online may be easier and the way of the future for much of network marketing, it’s easy to lose that personal touch when dealing with people. New signups may feel like they are just dealing with a computer rather than a person. Videos are a great way to get that human touch back. Create a welcome video for all new prospects or even try something like Skype to chat live “face to face” with your new sign up or interested team members.

Offer Education and Support Quickly

Video is a simple way to answer those frequent questions your team may ask and help them learn more on a regular basis. If you don’t feel like writing long blog posts, or answering the same question over and over, take out the web cam and do your own short question and answer to address these issues. Your team will appreciate it and those interested in joining GDI may stumble across it too!

Expand Your Reach

When you create videos you are expanding your reach across another medium. Not only will you post your videos on your website, but they also can be found on YouTube or any video site you use to host them. Users can find your videos and learn more about your opportunity in a simple way. Adding video to your web page is anther great way to grab people and keep them coming back as long as you are updating your videos.

Longevity: One Key to Success

What is it?

Longevity in network marketing refers to the length of time you can keep team members. Ideally, once you sign up a new member in your downline, they would be with you for the length of your business, but anyone who has worked in network marketing knows this is rarely the case. It is easy to get distracted by signing up new people all the time, but don’t forget to pay attention to those already on your team. Keeping those teams members and achieving longevity will give you consistent success (and checks!).

Ways to Work Toward Longevity with All Sign Ups:

Offer Support: When a member of your downline comes to you with questions or challenges, it is important to get back to them and offer your assistance right away. Unresponsive downlines leave people feeling lost and looking to quit. Think of it a customer support, it is not the most glamorous part of a business, but it is essential to keep your customers (or downline) happy and your business thriving!

Reach Out: Don’t always wait for your downline to come to you when they are having trouble. Reach out to your downline before they have to come to you. Check in with your team members on a regular schedule to get a feel of how their doing and get their feedback and input. This will not only keep your downline happy and interested, but also help you tweak and change your business for the better.

Educate and Grow Together: There are many resources out there to learn more about GDI and tools and tricks for network marketing, like our webinar series. Make it a point for you and your team members to attend webinars to ensure you are learning and growing together. You can also provide your own educational videos and blogs to help your downline grow and stay with you to achieve that longevity.
