What Do You Want to Do with GDI?

Are you part of the GDI Affiliate program?

Signing up with GDI doesn’t mean you have to pursue our income opportunity. In fact, the choice is all yours for how you work with us. But if you choose to be an affiliate, we want to help you get started. One of the common questions after signing up with GDI is “What do I do? Where do I start?” While there are many different ways to be successful with GDI, we shared some basic principles of what should be included in an affiliate’s role to be a successful part of GDI.

Build Income for Life

The phrase “Income for Life” echoes a passion many of us have. It first makes one think of quitting their 9-5 and living off their network marketing fortune forever. But it’s not quite like that. GDI can help you create Income for Life, but it takes work. As we often say, if you want part time income from GDI put in part time work. If you want full time income, put in full time work. GDI offers a variety of marketing tools and tips, but if you want to create Income for Life, you need to have that passion to stick with you and network marketing for just as long.

Share Your Passion and Our Products

Just like that passion for GDI will help you stick with the work that can create Income for Life, that passion helps others to see what they can gain from joining GDI and working with your team. Passion for businesses like GDI is contagious, so all we ask is that you be passionate about your business and share with people just how passionate you are. So, it’s easy to be passionate about income, but what about our products?! What sets GDI apart from opportunities and domain registrars like it is easy access to the products and services you need to get going. GDI offers you everything from a quick start site creating tool, to your very own WordPress account already set up for you to use, to inviters to simply share emails about your new business opportunity with as many or as few of your contacts. So get to know our products by using them or learn more about them first here.

Network

As you know, the GDI opportunity is considered network marketing, so networking is essential to building your business. Like many of our other tips, networking in this industry is not much different from networking in your standard 9-5, except a lot of it can be done on the internet. Do you research on sites like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to find others interested in GDI or network marketing and start conversations and see what connections they might have. You can even check out GDI’s Twitter and Facebook page to see who is a fan of us and how you might be able to work with them. Like networking in the traditional business world, not all connections are going to land you that great job or great opportunity, but the more people you are connected with the more chance you have of meeting the right people to add to your downline or offer you great advice.

How Are You Using Your Time? Affiliate Questions

How much time am I dedicating to GDI?q&a2

When it comes to GDI or any network marketing opportunity, you need to ask yourself what kind of income you would like to make, or are expecting to make. If you want full time income, you need to put in full time work to GDI. Some of our top affiliates have been able to quit their “day jobs” because of the income they generated from GDI. But this is because these affiliates were putting in full time work. GDI is unique opportunity for you to really take control of your life and garner Income for Life, but you must put in the hard work to get there. So take a look at how much time you are spending on recruiting people and marketing GDI, there’s probably a direct link to your time and your monthly checks from GDI. If you’re looking for more income, put in more work.

What exactly am I telling people about GDI?

When you market GDI, what do you tell you prospects? Do you tell them about the great products, your experience or the money making opportunity? Tell them about what you know and how you use GDI. When you sell the opportunity from a place of knowledge prospects can see that and feel your confidence. Share your story, not someone else’s and you will get the sign up.

Am I asking people to take the next step?

If you’re great at connecting with people, but they never seem to sign up, why is that? One reason could be that people aren’t sure what to do next. They could be excited about the GDI opportunity but unsure how to move forward. It’s simple, but you need to tell them! Help your prospects through the process step by step; explain why signing up on your team is good for both you and them.

Who am I networking with?

If you’re not marketing to or networking with the right people, you’re never going to get people to sign up! So be sure to network and market to the right people. A great way to do this is to join network marketing groups online at LinkedIn or search for business groups in your hometown. People involved in these groups will be more open to the opportunity.

Am I really marketing my site?

This about what your website looks like and who is seeing it. Do you just use a replicated site? How do you set your site apart from the rest?  A professional looking site shows that you not only use the product but that you also put the time into building your site to market the opportunity. Try to look at your website as an outsider and ask yourself if they way it currently looks would make you want to sign up. Then make changes as needed.

Harnessing Trends: Working from Home

downlineA recent study found that more and more Americans are working from home. Currently, around 3 million people in the US alone are working from home, not counting the millions more around the world doing the same. With so many people comfortable working from home, it’s a great time to build and grow your online business. But how exactly do you take advantage of this trend to grow your downline and your business? First you need to identify people within your network who are working from home. This can be easy to do using search features in LinkedIn and Facebook. Next, connect with these people and share the benefits of an online business in addition to working from home. Here’s a few ideas to do this:

  1. No commute time. Working from home means no commute and no waiting in traffic, which can add hours to the day. Those hours one would spend commuting can now be spent building your business. A few hours a day is all it takes to start building Income for Life. Share with prospective downline members that extra time can mean extra income.
  2. A connected lifestyle. When working from home, one is always connected whether it’s through laptop or smart phone. People get used to doing much of their fulltime work, shopping, scheduling and leisure time online. Harness this connectivity. Tell prospects who work online all day to take their lunch break to learn more about GDI. Once they’re interested, that lunch break and a few hours before or after their telecommuting job is all the time they need to start building their own business.
  3. Open to opportunities. Some people work from home in a traditional 9-5 job where they telecommute, while others piece together freelance work, contract work and more. Identify the second group of people within your network. Chances are they could use extra income and are open to new opportunities in their down time. Explain how GDI can create residual income to keep them building their own business even when they’re between projects.
