You may have noticed people on our Facebook page sharing when they “rank up.” This means they’ve moved up to a higher level in our affiliate ranking system based on your number of referred and active affiliates. This shows potential downline members your strengths as an affiliate. Ranks range from Bronze for those just getting started, all the way to Triple-Diamond, for our most elite Affiliates.
The best way to show this off is by sharing your Virtual ID banner on your site and anywhere you can share photos like Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. Your card shares other information about you that your prospects want to know including your rank with GDI.
Here are just a few things you can do with your new Virtual ID card:
Personalize it. Upload your photo and choose what information displays.
Share it anywhere. Embed your Virtual ID on your personal website, blog, or most anywhere else online.
Set Goals. See what’s next in order to Rank Up by clicking on your Rank at any time
Status Update. Take a look at your ID in action on the Account Registration page.
To do all of these things log in to your Members Area and follow the links on the Virtual ID announcement notice in the main area. Let us know what you think about the new ID card in the comments.
Now that you’ve got your content down, it’s time to identify how you will leverage it. Goals for content can be shares, which spread your name and message, favorites which build credibility or email addresses which provide lead information. While shares can also result in more business, it has to come to you while you wait passively. With email addresses, you can directly follow up with viewers of your content to convert them to paying customers. To get email address, you can gate some of your content. This means requiring an email address, name and OK to receive messages from you in a contact form to gain access to your content. WordPress has some great contact form plugins with this functionality. See one HERE. Now someone has provided you with their lead information, and you’ve provided them with great content.
As a word of caution, don’t lock up all you content. Provide some great content on your website, but keep longer, more unique content locked behind the contact form. This way you provide information to interest people and ensure you’re only getting emails from the most engaged people.
The purpose of your email marketing may be to get subscribers to complete an action they weren’t on your website. To do this, it can be as easy as just asking. If you want users to sign up to be an affiliate, provide them real value and information with your emails, then ask them to consider signing up and share your link. If you want them to visit your business, provide a reason why, like a special. Always consider what your goal is for your readers when drafting an email.
Allow for Unsubscribes
People who signed up to receive your email may change their mind and wish to stop. You do need to accommodate this. To again avoid being labeled as SPAM you must provide an option for receiver to unsubscribe from your email list in each email. This can be accomplished by adding small text at the bottom of your email with unsubscribe information. This information is whatever action the receiver needs to take to no longer get your email. An example of this it to add the text “Please reply to this email with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line to remove yourself from this list” or something similar. This will meet the requirement of having an unsubscribe option. If you do use a separate email marketing service, this is already included in each email you send.
