We talked earlier this week about the steps GDI takes to help you secure those missed sign ups. But did you know we also take the steps to ensure you can get to the missed sign up too? We do. Just check your email.
Anytime someone goes through the sign up process with you, but does not complete it, GDI will send you an email not only letting you know this happened, but sharing the name and contact information of this missed sign up. This gives you the perfect chance to follow up with this person and answer any questions they may have. We recommend you tailor this follow up, but also have a few tips for what you can say when you reach out to your missed sign ups below.
Ask if they have any questions and answer them. This person may not have signed up because they still have a few lingering questions and need the answers.
Ask them what their pushback is. If all of their questions are answered but they are still unsure about signing up with you, ask why. Try to respond to their hesitation with your personal stories of experience and success with GDI.
Talk them through the beginning process. They may be unsure what to do right after they sign up. Take the time to go over the steps to getting started with GDI, interjecting what you have learned along the way.
At GDI we work hard to give you the tools you need to succeed and build Income for Life. These tools come in many forms, which you can read more about here. But there is one very helpful tool that we don’t often talk about that helps you get sign ups without you even knowing about it. It’s our missed sign up email, and it’s working to ensure you secure every lead that comes through your page.
How It Works
When someone goes through the sign up process for the FREE 7 day trial and leaves the process before finishing, they are considered a missed sign up. We take these seriously and follow up with these missed sign ups to address any issues they may have and bring them back to your page to complete the process. After a few days of not completing the sign up, these missed sign ups will receive an email reminding them that they did not finish the process, as some may have gotten distracted or forgotten. These emails also address any common issues they may have for no signing up. These missed sign up emails serves as a reminder of how great the GDI opportunity is and encourage them to complete the process.
1. As a GDI affiliate, you don’t have to go through the process of registering with WordPress. It’s an option we offer through your account, so you just need to follow the next steps to get started. To access your already created account with WordPress, navigate to your Members Area then to Plugins>WordPress and toggle the on/off button to “On.” The link that appears below with the format blog.yoursite.ws is where you blog will exist.
a. You can have up to five (5) blogs as a GDI Basic Affiliate. To set your blog as your primary webpage simply click the options button to the right of the URL you would like in the plugin area and select “set to primary.”
2. Click on that link to see what your blog currently looks like. Maybe you like this format just fine and want to start posting, or maybe you want to change it completely. Either way you need to access the backend to do these things. WordPress calls the main area of the backend the “dashboard.”
3. To access the backend or dashboard, simply return to your plugin area. Near the URL of your blog or site, you will see an edit button. Clicking the edit button will bring you to the Log In area for WordPress. Your user name and password are same as your Members Area user name and password.
4. Once you have successfully entered your user name and password you will be taken to the dashboard. Which should look like the image below. Your dashboard is you main backend area in WordPress where you will be able to find everything you need.
5. If you are happy with the way your blog currently looks, then you can begin publishing blog posts. To create a new blog post, navigate to Posts on the left hand side of the dashboard. When you click on Posts or any of the titles on the left hand side, a submenu will appear. In the Posts submenu you will see Add New, Categories and Post Tags. When you click on Posts, WordPress will take you by default to a list of your past posts, this will appear on the right hand side. WordPress automatically populates a post, which you will see in the list. You can delete that post by selecting Trash from the options that will appear if you hover your mouse over the post title.
