Three Traditional Marketing Tips to Use for Network Marketing

Use Social Bookmarking Sites

As you may have noticed, beneath each post on this blog there area a few counters and logos for sites. The Affiliate Blog uses the Share This tool to easily let any of our readers share our blog posts easily on Facebook, Twitter, through email or through social bookmarking sites. If you aren’t familiar with social bookmarking sites, they are a lot like their name implies. Social bookmarking sites allow you to create an account and profile so that you can favorite or bookmark any links you want, these favorite links then become part of the profile you have created with these sites, and people can browse your profile for links. Your favorite links are also shared in a feed for anyone one to stumble upon. You can use social bookmarking sites to bookmark your own important blog posts and encourage your visitors to do so too. This is great for SEO and just sharing your site in every way possible.

Create Content Ahead of Time

As we’ve shared in past posts, a great way to increase SEO and your visitor base is to ensure you always have fresh content. It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you visit your website and realize you need to update it and write something right NOW. But instead of getting in moments of panic, create content ahead of time and create a schedule. If you have WordPress you can even schedule your posts to be published on specific dates in the future. You site is going to look more viable when your content is new and relevant to your readers.

Explain Things Simply

The GDI opportunity may be simple to you, but remember that people visiting your site might not quite understand it yet and need a little guidance. This is where it is ok to be very simple and straight forward in your writing. Explain the GDI opportunity to your site visitors and why it is important to them. Be clear and concise to help answer some of their first questions. Bullet points, images and personal success stories can help to make your point as well. The better you explain the opportunity and benefits, the better chances you have to succeed with GDI.

The Basics of IDN

If you haven’t visited www.WorldSite.ws to watch the IDN video, learn more about IDNs and search for your sites, head over there now! Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity.

What is an IDN?

Internationalized Domain Names, or IDNs as they are often called, are domain names that include characters used in the local languages that are not written with the twenty-six letters of the basic Latin alphabet. An IDN can contain roman letters or can be comprised of characters from non-roman scripts such as Arabic or Chinese.

What does this mean for me?

Try to think of your favorite website. Now think of how easy it is for you to access that site, using your standard keyboard. Simple, right? The truth is, if you asked anyone outside of the Western world these same questions, you would get far different answers, especially if you asked anyone who communicated in a language that does not include traditional roman characters.

What does this mean for my business?

America is already saturated with internet users, and .com addresses. Until recently, anyone who wanted to access the internet had to type in a website address in roman characters regardless of their location in the world or the language they spoke. Now imagine how your daily routine might be a little more confusing if you had to type in the address to your favorite site in Chinese characters. IDNs are changing this limited way of accessing the internet.

How does GDI come in to play?

  • GDI is the registrar for .ws websites. .ws stands for World Site. While .com is distinctively American, .ws is distinctively global. Nothing sends the message of the opportunity with IDNs quite like the top level domain that means World Site. .ws domains are accessible across the globe.
  • The introduction of IDNs is creating a change and amazing opportunity unlike any seen since the original introduction of the internet. There is a virtual land rush on for these new domain names in foreign characters. Bank of America purchased loans.com for 3 million dollars back in 2000. Imagine what that could sell for in 2011 in Chinese, Thai, Russian and beyond.

Network Offline

For some prospects, the best way to get them interested and excited about the great opportunity that is GDI is to speak with them face to face. When you’re doing this, you might not want to break the flow of your personal presentation by sitting someone down at a computer to watch a video on GDI. This is where the DVD can come in. Once you have someone interested in GDI, send them away with a DVD to learn more about the power of GDI in their own home and on there own time. Having DVDs in your car, at home and your office are great to be sure to always have them on hand and ready to share with a new prospect you might meet offline

Like we said above, sometimes, you don’t want to break the flow of a conversation just to direct someone to your website. To get the same benefits though, pass along your business card and a DVD. Your prospect will be able to visit your site and also learn about GDI at a time that is right for them.

A Tangible Reminder

Our affiliates are great at marketing and sharing the opportunity over the phone and online, but sometimes emails get lost among others and phone messages get accidentally deleted. This creates a time for GDI to just slip the mind of a new prospect. The DVD solves this issue by being a tangible reminder. The DVD is something you can touch; leave on your desk or in front of the TV to remind your prospects to learn more about GDI. Even better once your prospect has a DVD for themselves they can easily share it with out having to log online.

Everything You Need to Explain

The biggest benefit of the GDI DVD is that it has all the information a prospect needs to know to get started. The DVD is 39 minutes of the best information and tips for beginners interested in GDI. Just purchase the DVD, share with prospects and the work is done for you.
