How to Get Started as an Affiliate with GDI

We often post information that is helpful to new GDI members and current members looking to expand their skills, but today’s post is for those of you who haven’t yet joined GDI as an affiliate. If you are considering GDI for affiliate marketing but aren’t sure what to do next, or just want to learn more, this post is for you.

Learn More about the Opportunity

It’s a great idea to learn more about GDI and how it could work for you before you consider signing up with a sponsor. An easy way to do this is to watch the 7 Minute Movie at: http://website.ws/gditraffic/show. You can also learn more about the specific products and services that GDI provides as well as a breakdown of how you can earn income at our YouTube tutorial channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/GDITutorialVideos/. If you have additional questions before you sign up, feel free to reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter or contact support@website.ws

Connect with a Sponsor

You can find many GDI affiliates active on social networks, our message boards and just through a simple search. It’s important to sign up with the right sponsor for you. Ask questions of any potential sponsor before you sign up to ensure they will be a good fit for you and will help you along the way as you build Income for Life. If you do not want to research a sponsor, GDI can connect you with one. Simply watch the 7 Minute Movie at http://website.ws/gditraffic/show and share your contact information. GDI will then assign a sponsor to you.

 Select Premium or Basic

At just $10 per month for a domain, personalized email address, and domain services, many of our affiliates choose our basic option and have much success with it. But to really make the most money with the affiliate program, our premium option is the way to go. GDI’s premium option offers upgraded products and services as well as chances for bonuses, contest entries and higher payouts. For a full rundown of what premium can offer check out this post.

Attracting and Converting Blog Visitors

As a GDI affiliate a personal blog can act as a stand alone website or a great supplement to your main site. Your blog should not only be informative and eye catching, but also provide the right information to get someone seriously interested in being an affiliate. With the right content you can convert visitors to your blog into customers. Here are just a few steps to help you achieve this.

Who Are Your Writing For?

Your blog should be written for a specific audience. This will help you plan out content and to establish an audience for your blog. As you’re writing to engage potential team members, keep topics to advice, news and how-tos that are both relevant to GDI and your team and system.

Timely Content

Set Google Alerts for affiliate marketing, network marketing, GDI, and domains. These alerts can email you anytime news is shared anywhere on the internet on these topics. Staying abreast of key news and trends will allow you to create content that is reflective of this and timely. You visitors will see your blog as an outlet for up to date news and trends and keep coming back.

Content with a Long Shelf Life

While some content should be timely, other content needs to be timeless. Write blog posts that can be shared over and over and will not become out of date quickly. These posts can be informational or personal, sharing your story of success. Timeless blog posts means more sharing and a longer shelf life for your content.

Be Honest

If you’re writing your blog to convert people form visitors to team members, be honest about your intentions. Misleading visitors or tricking them into signing up is no way to grow your business. Visitors who are interested in the affiliate opportunity will be able to get information straight away from you blog and those who aren’t can navigate to a new site.

What Not to Do as a Beginner

Starting something new can be overwhelming no matter what it is. As a new GDI affiliate, you are undertaking something that is easy and designed to help you succeed, but no less overwhelming. It’s important as a new affiliate to understand why you’ve joined GDI and what you hope to achieve. These are two things you must ask yourself when you join. Questions other than these can be answered by your helpful upline, online resources, or our support team. There are many ways to succeed with GDI, but there are a few ways not to, below you’ll find our two biggest beginner DONTS.

When you are new to GDI DON’T:

 Panic

As we said above, it’s easy to get overwhelmed, but it’s important not to respond by panicking. This means taking the time to address you fears and ask questions related to them. What is so scary about starting a new opportunity? Work to answer these questions yourself and then think of thoughtful questions for your upline. If you’ve identified what you’re afraid of, ask for help on that topic. GDI is a small investment to start your own business. Take the time to work through your fears and questions and don’t panic. Doing something the right way takes time.

 Quit

If you’ve had the pleasure of joining us for our webinars in the past, you have been able to hear one lesson from top affiliates again and again. Huge success takes time to build. Many of our top affiliates started out slowly, and if they quit in the beginning they never would have been able to achieve the level of success they have now. Each affiliate should take the time to build their business, work with their upline and take advantage of the marketing tools GDI has to offer. Success cannot be achieved by throwing in the towel early.

Best of luck to our beginners!

To our seasoned affiliates, have you ever panicked?
