GDI FAQs and Answers

How do I contact my upline?

Having a responsive and helpful upline is an important part of being a successful GDI affiliate. This is important to remember as you build your downline as well, if you offer great support, you have more chance of a downline member sticking with you and GDI. To find out who your upline is and how to contact them, simply log into your members area. Once in the members area, head over to the left hand navigation and click on the “Upline” link. Here you will find your upline’s name and contact info, easy as that.

What is premium?

Premium is an upgrade option that GDI offers to all of its affiliates to allow for bigger pay outs, upgraded services and eligibility for multiple contests. Read complete details about our premium offering here.

What kind of site can I make?

You are free to make whatever type of site you would like. You can have an easy replicated site if you are just interested in the business opportunity, build out your own business opportunity site or create any type of site you would like. The possibilities are endless and if you would like to learn more about the tools we offer to help you do this, read more here.

When can I expect to make money?

We can’t offer a guarantee to when you will get that first pay check, but putting in hard work will help to get you there. Some of our top affiliates recently talked about how they started, when they first started to make great money with GDI and their tips for doing so. You can check out that video here.

Technical Q&A

We get some great questions on Facebook and do our best to answer them, sometimes with the help of our tech team. As these are common questions, we wanted to share the answers on the blog too in case you missed them and have the same questions.

Q: How may sub domains can we have?

A:Currently, we offer 20 sub-domains (5 for each service) for each domain you have. If you require additional domains, we recommend upgrading to a Premium account, where you will have 100 sub-domains (25 for each service).

Q: I’m trying to customize my page with a GDI theme layout, but I am the only one who can see the changes. When I get on any other browser I can’t see the custom theme layout on my page. It only works on Firefox. I’ve tried Facefetti, Pagerage, Grease Monkey, and Stylish add-ons, but I still get the same results. What can I do?

A: This is a temporary problem and can happen because websites won’t all resolve immediately until their DNS provider updates with new information about the domain (usually a couple hours). If you switched your root domain to use WordPress, which has different DNS, your new changes may be slow to propagate across the internet as a result. So wait a bit before you check back and your changes should show in all browsers.

Q: I saw the announcement for 10GB of storage on WordPress hosted sites, but didn’t get much else information. Can you tell me more about this? How does this  affect plugins?

A: When you install new plug ins for WordPress (or perform any actions with items like WordPress, Drupal, etc.), the storage space they require is deducted from your total 10GB quota. In most cases, WordPress plugins take a negligible amount of storage space. You should not be worried about exceeding your quota unless you are installing thousands of large plugins.

I’m trying to customize my page with a GDI theme layout but the only one who see’s it, is me. When I get on any other browser I can’t see the custom theme layout on my page. It only works on Firefox. I’ve tried Facefetti, Pagrage, Grease Monkey, and Stylish add-ons, but i still get the same results. No one can see the theme, but myself, this truly sucks. especially for people who love to, theme skin, customize and MOD websites like me. Oh well.

You may be having a problem because websites won’t all resolve immediately until their DNS provider updates with new information about the domain (usually a couple hours). Interview with a Top GDI Affiliate Part II: Tim Sebert

Tim Sebert is another name you may recognize from our webinars, or just from frequently being on the GDI Leader Board. Tim and his wife Teresa are some of GDI’s top producers. We recently contacted them to get their story and also some tips and advice that have been keeping them successful with GDI for nearly 7 years. Read on for Tim and Teresa’s best advice.

If you could give just one piece of advice to affiliates looking to be as successful as you, what would it be?

Give GDI a minimum of one year to build and during that year, learn to “FOCUS” and “COMMIT” to building GDI, not a dozen other “deals!”

How have you worked to assist your downline?

I  make myself available by phone during my business hours that are provided to my Team.  I also believe in “Leading By Example” in which 80% of my time is used to help my Team while the other 20% is used to still recruit through the same tools that I make available to my Team. I show that it can be done; I don’t expect anyone to do what I can’t do!

GDI Tip: Don’t be shy about going to your upline for help; that’s what they are there for! You can see your 5-level upline at any time from within your account by clicking the “Upline” link in the left navigation bar. Do not be shy about contacting any or all of them by email or telephone. Also contact GDI Support at 1-760-602-3000 if you are still in need of assistance.

Now, it’s your turn. How do you help your downline? What is your one best piece of advice?
