A Few Tips for Success from Your Fellow Affiliates

As we’ve said, Social Media is great for feedback, and now we are putting it to good use to help you. When our affiliates respond to us on Facebook, Twitter, Forums and every where else we listen. And now we’re sharing. In case you missed some of these great pieces of advice on Facebook, or you aren’t a fan on Facebook (change that here) we will now be featuring some of our best tips and success stories FROM YOU on the blog.

Below is some awesome encouragement from one of our affiliates, Vincent R. Parker.

Vincent R. Parker: Mindset has A LOT to do with YOUR business. Much more than most people realize, and the few who do realize it have received much training and experience to really appreciate that fact. And with that here is my advice: Never ever quit! Do not be a grasshopper jumping from one opportunity to the next thinking THIS business will do it for me. NO business will do it for you until you make it YOUR business. Get training on a daily basis and then act on that training. Step outside the box. Talk to people. Look for opportunities all around you. Talk to your pizza guy. Talk to businesses in your area. Start providing value for people online. Answer questions. Build relationships. Above all, work your heart out. Hard to give solid advice in so few words, but that’s mine. Hope it helps a bit. 🙂

We also have one more tip from Bart Dangerfield, the voice of our webinars. If you haven’t attended one, it’s time sto start! Also, catch up on past webinars at: http://gdiwebinars.ws/

Bart Dangerfield: Each week, GDI conducts a free webinar open to affiliates and their guests. Even though this webinar is conducted by top field leaders with GDI who represent several different systems, the content that is provided is applicable to ANY GDI affiliate who seeks to be successful.

The webinar starts with a quick 15-minute overview of the company and products, specifically designed for guests and new affiliates who want to learn more about getting started with GDI. Next, corporate news and updates are given. But by far, the most popular portion of the webinar is the live Q&A session where affiliates can ask their questions directly to GDI’s top leaders and most successful affiliates. These questions each week range from how to set up a website to the most effective tools to use in building your online business. To register for the webinar, simply go to: http://register.gdiwebinars.ws

  1. Wow, I was a bit surprised to see a comment of mine made it on the blog. Thanks! 🙂

There are so many awesome affiliates out there giving so much free advice and help. From the GDI forum to the webinars, the Facebook page, this blog… As well as people’s personal training pages, videos, articles. We are so very lucky to be in a company that truly, truly cares about it’s affiliates and one that has so many great affiliates willing to give their heart and soul to help others.

I try to impress upon my team that the GDI business motto is not just a saying they thought was neat. They chose it with intent. “You can have everything you want in life if you just help enough other people get what they want.”

So, my best advice? I think I’ll stick with what I wrote on the GDI Facebook page but add this. Being a member of GDI you have the tools and training at your disposal. Now, you need to build up a desire in yourself to make it happen and get out there and do it. Don’t be upset if it doesn’t happen overnight. More than likely, it will NOT happen overnight.

Building a business takes time, it takes learning, it takes persistence and it takes work. But keep in mind this is not something that will provide success just for tomorrow. It is something that will change your life forever. It’s a long term goal. A goal for a better life. So stay patient and work every single day.

Hey, thanks again for the spotlight on the blog. I am humbled. 🙂

  2. Vincent I could not agree with you more. GDI has stood the test of time and proven that it is a viable business model. My husband started with GDI back in 1999. Selling .WS domains on his website. It took him 6 months on his own to figure things out and actually sell a .WS domain to someone now and then. Back then there was no affiliate program, and no help either.

Then in 2004 GDI created the affiliate program. That is when things changed. Soon he had a dozen people under him and more were joining every week. In 2006 I joined under him because he had proven to me that this thing works. By getting an ever bigger check month after month for 2 years! Our down lines are continuing to grow month after month. We are looking forward to our GDI income being an important part of our retirement years. So my advise is to keep at it. It will become something of value in time.

  3. Excellent tips Vincent, Mind is is everything. When I first started GDI, almost everyone of my affiliate
I expected to quit because of this, and also with my mind set on them quitting, well you can see how I contributed to the situation.

Been a grasshopper too is one of the things all of us do when we first start a business online. Then after you get information overload and dont know where to start. Excellent point Vin.

My advice is pick one way of promoting your GDI business, then MASTER it!

  4. I would like to say thank you to Vince Parker, Colette Ipock and Gene Wolff for your comments. I have been sitting on the various fences for the last 10 months, grasshopping and tonight after reading your comments, I have invested the time in checking out my own website (wws.exton.ws) and it seemed everything was so clear. Like someone once said, when the student is ready, the Teacher will appear, I guess I am ready now.

My advise to newbies is dont wait too long explore your webpage, and make a decision to give it a go at least for 6 months ie an investment of $60.00 is peanuts compared to other ventures.

I am ready now to take my website, my committments to my business and my downlines in the way of support, trainning and dedication in all aspects.

A journey of a million miles begins with the very first step, today I take that very first step……come join me ..
