Twitter Tips for Affiliate Marketing

Twitter is great to get to the point and get your message and your news out there. Many affiliates are very active on Twitter and it is exceptional for connecting with others in the world of network marketing.

What it’s good for

Twitter is great for updating your followers on new blog posts, important news and trends in network marketing and connecting with anyone and everyone quickly and simply.

How it’s unique

Twitter is very accessible. Twitter’s sign up process take about 5 minutes. You can start posting right away and can easily create multiple accounts as needed. You can tailor who you want to follow based on their interests and tweets and can get into conversations with anyone regardless of if you’re following each other or not.

Ways to use it

Use your Twitter account as a way to supplement other networking and marketing tactics, though a powerful medium, not everyone is on Twitter. You can use Twitter to build your network by searching by key words related to GDI, network and affiliate marketing and your team in general. Search hot topics in network marketing and GDI and add your comments on the subject them with a hash tag (#). Your comments will then come up in a feed, giving others access to your thoughts and the option to follow you.

Ditch the Script

Building your business with GDI is a lot like many other businesses. You need to build connections, add great people to your team and work to making money each and every month. While it may be easy to compare GDI and network marketing to a sales job, this is not true in many ways. Not the least of which is marketing and selling with a script. Duplication is powerful when it comes to network marketing, but duplication doesn’t mean marketing and talking to each potential new team member in the same way. To be successful in building your team, you need to “ditch the script.” Here’s why:

Everyone joins GDI for their own reasons. Surely most people join because of the chance to make Income for Life, but the road that led everyone there is different. Following a specific script to get people to join your team can make you seem rigid, robotic and like your standard sales person, and who wants that? It’s OK to have a base of ideas to market to people and to talk with them about, but try to tailor those ideas to each individual you reach out to. Take the time to learn more about your prospects before telling them about yourself and your opportunity. After hearing their story, you will be better able to relate to them and explain why GDI is the perfect opportunity for them specifically.

So join a team that gives you the tools to duplicate their success, but take the time to put your own spin on your marketing strategy with each person you connect with. This personal touch won’t soon be forgotten.

How Do You Measure Success?

What is your measure of success with GDI? We share a few ways to help measure if you’re moving forward, business practices to keep and what to change.

Hit Logs

This is a crucial tool that is available to our Premium and basic users. Hit logs provide valuable information about the people visiting your site to help you better understand your traffic and your site’s effectiveness. While both Premium and basic users have access to hit logs from the Members Area, Premium users get much more detail with their hit logs. Check out your hit logs to see patterns in people visiting your site and how successful certain campaigns are. Then compare these numbers to your sign up numbers. If you’ve got a good amount of traffic and few sign ups, maybe there is something that needs to be changed on your site.

Dialogue

While sign ups are the direct way to make money with GDI, dialogue is one way to get you to these sign ups. What do we mean by dialogue? Specifically creating a dialogue a with anyone and very interested in GDI and network marketing. Have a good dialogue with your team members to ensure they are successful. Start conversations and answers questions of those people who aren’t on your team to establish yourself as a thought leader and dependable source for GDI information and experience. The more people you have dialogue with, the more touch points you have out and the better chance for sign ups down the line.

Sign Ups

Sign ups are the true sign of success with GDI. But try to go further with your sign ups and do a little research into why people are signing up and what made them join with you versus someone else. This information can help you streamline and target your marketing for your next signup.
